What is same day eye care lab services
When we say it’s a same day eye care lab services, we mean FULL! We utilize a state-of-the-art 3D Frame Tracer which allows us to trace out any ophthalmic frame in 3D space and send the specifications and image to our 3D Lens Edger. The edger can then cut the lens to precisely fit the frame with any type of bevel we desire. This allows us to cleverly “hide” edges for stronger prescriptions so the lenses appear thinner and cosmetically more appealing.
We have just about every tool needed to repair your eyeglasses when emergencies occur or, if repair is not an option, we can make you a new pair while you wait in our same day eye care lab services. From Ultrasonic Cleaners to Ultra Violet Spectrophotometers we can make sure both your eyeglasses and sunglasses fit perfectly and look their best. When you purchase sunglasses from our office, you can be assured that you will get 100% protection from all UV light to protect your eyes from the sun and lessen the likelihood of developing cataracts and macular degeneration.
Lens coatings and lens materials are what separates our products from other labs and optical establishments. Our Ahwatukee optometrists offer the most advanced lens materials in the world which are manufactured to precise standards. This not only allows you to see better, but makes your glasses more comfortable, lighter weight, and thinner in our same day eye care lab services.
We recommend these plastic lenses for lighter prescriptions (higher prescription lenses will be much thicker), and there are a few frame restrictions due to the thickness of the lens. Ask an America’s Best associate and we will be happy to help you identify the best frame for you if you prefer our basic lenses.
Made of a durable yet lightweight high index plastic, Verithin lenses replace thick “coke bottle” lenses with a thin, discreet, and easy-to-wear lens that provides superior clarity. These lenses are mostly scratch resistant (though they will scratch if a purposeful attempt is made) and can fit in almost any fashion eyeglass frame you would choose. So, no longer does your strong prescription have to limit your eyeglass frame choice.
Polycarbonate, or Verilite, lenses are impact-resistant and offer superior eye protection when you need it most. They’re lightweight but extremely durable. If you lead an active lifestyle or need your glasses to stand up to some day-to-day wear, polycarbonate lenses are exactly what you need to protect your eyeglass investment. Do you wear sports glasses, safety glasses or goggles? Then choose this type of shatterproof lens to protect your eyes on the slopes, court or factory floor.
If you’re worried about your child wearing glasses day-to-day, polycarbonate lenses are the best choice for your child’s eyeglasses. Plus, parents are always concerned for their children’s safety. You never want a lens to shatter or break in your child’s frame. That’s why we automatically upgrade lenses for children ages 13 and under!
As we age, wearing bifocals becomes a necessity to see both near and far. But we know that the tell-tale line of the lined bifocal is a thing of the past.
No line bifocals or progressive lenses eliminate the bifocal line without impacting your vision. Many customers prefer progressives as they allow you to see close-up, far away and everything between much more easily than standard lined bifocals. See the difference between standard no-line bifocals and lined bifocals below!
Polarized lenses are a special type of sunglass lenses that reduce glare and provide the most superior quality vision experience one can find wearing sunglasses. Polarized lenses keep colors true, make your vision clear, and sharpen your focus like no other lenses can.
If you’re a fan of outdoor sports, you know how much the glare of the sun can affect your performance on the slopes, on the water or on the field. Polarized lenses offer amazing glare reduction in high light conditions and outstanding UV protection.
Transitions lenses are a great option for anyone who uses prescription sunglasses along with their regular eyeglasses or for contact lens wearers who only want one pair of back up glasses but still need an option for blocking the sun on non-lens wearing days. Transitions® lenses make it possible for you to wear just one pair of glasses and yet always have your sunglasses at the ready, should the skies suddenly get bright.
The amazing Transitions® lens technology takes your regular lenses and makes them photochromic—which means that the second they are exposed to UV light they begin to darken. Once fully darkened, these lenses then block out 100% of the sun’s harmful UVA rays.
